June 28th
saw Kenny Tran and the Quakerstate® Sport Compact drag racing team
making a huge impact at the Extreme Autofest at the Dallas Market Hall.
The Extreme Autofest is a "Lifesyle" event aimed at the sport
compact market and the event in Dallas was one of ten events on the national
Extreme Autofest calendar.
The Quakerstate® display area was the biggest in the hall and dominated
the show thanks to the size of the race team transporter complete with
flag's, banners and two matching Quakerstate® tents.
The Quakerstate®
racing display featured Kenny Tran's Honda Civic racecar as well as his
Toyota Supra street car. Also on display was Kevin Le's stunning yellow
Acura NSX along with a matching Honda CBR 900RR Motorcycle and a selection
of Jotech customer cars.
The show ran from lunchtime until midnight and was very well attended
by around ten thousand fans. Most of the fans were in the age-group of
between sixteen and thirty-years old (Typical Sport Compact crowd).
The Quakerstate®
area was very busy during the entire show with many of the attendee's
filling out entries for the leather jacket draw and asking questions about
Quakerstate products. Kenny was kept busy signing autographs and answering
questions for most of the day and all of the fans that visited the display
were given Quakerstate® bags and autograph cards.
Overall, the
event was a huge success and several trophies were won by Jotech customers
including best Acura. (Kevin Le NSX)
The event promoters were very enthusiastic and helpful and they were pleased
to have such a high-profile display at the show.
