Jotech
Motorsports Sweeps Hot Import Nights Show In Dallas
08-03-2002
Garland Texas- The largest Import show in the Southwest saw Jotech
Motorsports prepared cars winning the lions-share of the major awards
on Saturday night. With over fifty Jotech-prepared cars on display, club
awards were also won for best overall cars and most cars entered.
Kenny Trans wide body Supra also won the Meguiars "Best paint and
finish" award and the Valvoline Synpower "Hottest performance"
award was won by the Jotech Honda Civic drag car and Norwood Acura Funnycar
combination on display in the Jotech booth.
Trans Toyota
Supra also won the "Hottest Toyota" award. "Hottest Nissan"
and "Hottest Acura" were swept by Chris Ditty's 300ZX and Kevin
Le's wide body NSX.
The "Hottest sound presentation" trophy went home with Angel
Reyes (Acura RSX) and fifth-place in the 2-door mild category was won
by Dustin Radloff's Honda Prelude.
Kenny Tran
was ecstatic with the results: " This event is the biggest show of
the year for us and we know we have to put on a first-rate display to
impress the fans. Our customers are important to us and this event is
a chance for us to show our appreciation for their loyalty and enthusiasm."
"We had a huge display and obviously the judges really liked our
cars. That's a big pat on the back for our customers because the Hot Import
Nights events are staged all over the country and the judges have very
high standards. All I can say is thank you to every one of the Jotech
customers that made this happen."
Veteran supercar
builder Bob Norwood was on-hand in the Jotech booth and was very impressed
with the show as a whole: " I have been around cars for over forty-years
and this was probably the biggest show event I have ever been involved
in. The enthusiasm of the fans was amazing: We had them lined up five-deep
around the race-car display and Kenny was signing autographs for seven
hours without a break. It was nuts out there but it was also a lot of
fun."
Tran and Norwood recently announced an alliance that will see Norwood
supervising development of the Jotech Honda Civic drag car and Tran piloting
the awesome Norwood-built Acura Funnycar.
